I should probably not comment further...
As a wee one, my mom got me a few of these Avon Glace Pin Pals. There's a small section on the back that opens up to a little pad of fragrance. I had a mouse with a peppermint stick, a gingerbread man, and Chicken Little. I still have my original gingerbread man, but over time I lost both the mouse and Chicken Little. Recently, I was lucky enough to find a *brand spanking new* Chicken Little on Amazon, and it totally made my day (it’s the little things, man…).
Why do I share this? Well, as a jeweler, I totally get a kick out of looking back on some of my earliest jewelry memories, and this was certainly one of them. I LOVED this little pin! I now keep it on my bulletin board in my office, hanging next to the gingerbread man, as inspiration. I view it as"coming full circle," in a way, perhaps? ;-]
I shot this back when I was trying to do a self-imposed, one-a-day, in-the-studio photo challenge (I needed this because I’d temporarily lost my photo-mojo).
It's my third-hand sitting in front of my pickle pot.
I don’t know about you, but I see…a pterodactyl. J
Made a pit-stop on the way back to my studio from running errands today. I’m a sucker for big bodies of water, so my pit-stops are usually to the lake.
I *love* looking out over Lake Michigan during the midst of a deep freeze when the surface is partially frozen. The undulating waves are sooooo amazing to watch. It was a little too chilly to sit and stare, so I captured them on video for the sake of summoning them on demand…
I don’t think it’s a Ford, but hey…pretty paint job.
